My fascination with Japan derives from the fact that my children are 1/4 Japanese. And I probably always had a crush on Japanese classic artists.
The old graphic art that is admired for their landscapes, images of animals, fantastic creatures from legends, courageous warriors, flowers, and beautiful women. They have simple black outlines colored beautifully and they are 2-dimensional.
I tried using some of the same elements. However, I had to play a little bit with it! The messy hair is of course also a contrast to the old neat hairstyles.
